Organizing with Lists and Tags

Lists group links by broad categories. Examples: “Web Development Tools”, “Recipes”

Tags add flexible labels. Examples: “tutorial”, “urgent”, “open-source”

To create a list or tag:

  1. Click Lists or Tags in the sidebar
  2. Click Add List or Add Tag
  3. Set visibility (private, internal, or public)

To assign lists and tags to a link:

  • Edit the link and select from existing lists/tags, or create new ones inline
  • Lists and tags marked internal or public can be used by all users

LinkAce automatically checks HTTP(S) links on a regular basis. Each link has a status:

  • OK (green) — Link is reachable
  • Moved (yellow) — Link redirected or moved
  • Broken (red) — Link is unreachable

View broken links from the dashboard by clicking the “broken links” badge in the statistics panel.

To disable monitoring for a specific link:
Edit the link and check “Disable automated link checks”. Useful for internal URLs or links behind authentication.

Quick Search (dashboard)
Enter a term to search titles, URLs, and descriptions.

Advanced Search
Click LinksSearch to filter by:

  • Tags and lists
  • Visibility
  • Status (OK, moved, broken)
  • Date range

Bulk Actions

From the links list, select multiple links using checkboxes, then:

  • Add tags or lists in bulk
  • Change visibility
  • Delete multiple links

Internet Archive Backups

If enabled in settings, LinkAce automatically sends HTTP(S) links to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine for long-term archiving. Private links are only archived if “Archive private links” is enabled.
